Nangarhar is one of the five major and important provinces of Afghanistan, consisting of 22 districts. This province is considered the industrial hub of the eastern region of the country and a focal point of instability and suffering for the people of Afghanistan. Its capital, Jalalabad, not only serves as a major city within Nangarhar but also for four other neighboring provinces, from which people generally obtain their essential raw materials.

June 7, 2020 – Kabul: Today some members of the Solidarity Party of Afghanistan (SPA) gathered to express their solidarity with protest rallies of the US oppressed people against the ruling occupier and fascist government. SPA regards the solidarity with all progressive anti-imperialist movements as one of its aims and always raises its voice in favor such movements. Although, we had planned to hold a big gathering but due to peak of COVID-19 pandemic in Afghanistan, we had held it with few party members.

March 15, 2020 – Kabul: Today a group of SPA members gathered to condemn the release of Taliban prisoners by the puppet government of Afghanistan. The protestors, mostly women, were carrying the main slogan: “The nefarious dealing of US and its lackeys with the brutal Taliban and the release of thousands of Taliban viruses from the prisons is a national treason!” and additionally had raised the placards containing the texts: “The bloodthirsty Taliban even can’t be forgiven for destruction of the Buddha statues!” “The deal with the murderers of Zarmina, is the height of rascality!” “Peace with US masters, and jihad against our innocent people!” “The repetition of US treason: first imposing Jihadis and Taliban!” There were pictures of victims of crimes committed by Taliban.

December 6, 2019 - KABUL: Some members of the Solidarity Party of Afghanistan marched in front of the Pakistani Embassy in Kabul, condemning the murder of Dr. Tetsu Nakamura and five of his Afghan colleagues. They declared ISI and its Afghan criminal lackeys responsible for the killing of this noble friend of the people of Afghanistan and chanted slogans against them, who have caused endless suffering to our people over the past four decades.

On 18 October 2019, two explosions during the Friday prayers in Judara village of Huska Mina District – Nangarhar, resulted in the death of 64 and injury of 48 people. Although, it is said that the explosions were suicide attacks but no one has seen the suicide bombers.
The representative of the Solidarity Party of Afghanistan visiting the villagers in their native village, reports that the survivors are in shock with psychological problems and every family has lost at least a member.

October 17, 2019 – Kabul: The Solidarity Party of Afghanistan (SPA) hold a gathering to condemn the brutal attack of Turkey’s fascist government and its allies on Rojava. The statement of the party was recited:
“Since October 9th, 2019, the fascist government of Erdogan, the godfather of ISIS, along with Free Army of Syria (another name for ISIS, directly supported by the bloodthirsty government of Turkey), started an attack, codenamed Operation Spring Peace, on Rojava, making the excuse of creating buffer zone, but indeed it is Operation Spring Blood and Crime. The crime which resulted in displacement of 130,000, killing and injury of hundreds. The awful photos of Turkish Army and their ISIS Brother’s crimes shocked the world, however, the imperialist and Nato government, being the founder and supporter of fundamentalism and terrorism in the region, are acting as spectator. And the government of Pakistan, always nurturing terrorist, shamefully knelt to Erdogan and announced its support for this brutality.”

Fatima, 44, from Farah province lost her husband and six children in an IED incident seven years ago. Now a fragment is stuck in part of her backbone, which has resulted in paralysis of her hand with constant inflammation and is suffering from poor health and severe pain.

April 16, 2019: Today a number of Hambastagi party members gathered in Kabul, Bamyan, Farah and Nangarhar to condemn the abduction of Julian Assange by the occupier governments. Protestors were carrying placards with texts to show their solidarity with Mr. Assange: “The abduction of Julian Assange by imperialists is attack on the wakeful conscience of humanity!” “Julian Assange is the true friend of Afghan people!” “Julian Assange stood beside us by revealing the US government’s war crimes in Afghanistan!” “Julian Assange is the real hero of truth and justice!”
